We leave a customer comments form in our rooms for all our new guests. We ask them to tell us what they like, what they didn’t like and to tell us how we can improve. We ask them to tell us frankly because we want to learn.
We have quite a back log but will be posting them here as time permits, showing the positive and negative comments we have received with an explanation or response if required. We’d like to reassure you that these are all from real guests that have stayed with us, and the hand written forms can be made available. We’d like to thank all our guests for helping us make our business better. Steve
Excellent value for money. Clean and comfortable accommodation with all the essential facilities. A refreshing and welcome change from the mainstream Hotel chains I frequently stay in. The only thing I can think that would have improved my stay are;- a Cafetiere and ground coffee rather than the filters; -a Toaster. Ferndale Mews is a great idea and in a good location. It’s a shame I don’t work in Bristol more often. Mr. P. Pontefract We have enjoyed the couple of days we have been here, its a lovely place and we would like to thank you. Mr. J. Yorkshire.
This is an elegant, simple, unfussy solution to being away from home overnight. Very 21st century, I think. NB. The hot water adjuster on the shower is v.v. stiff. [It's better now. Steve] Mr. O. Hereford
Excellent concept. Room 1. quite compact but fine for a short stay. Wireless Internet would help as wired does not work for phones. [This is a good point, I'll start to look into it. Steve] Mr. P. Chelmsford.
Loved it! Mrs. T Kings Lyn
I liked – very clean and a comfortable bed. Disliked – Can’t think of anything! Some decaf coffee would be nice. Fridge needs defrosting. Why have a coffee machine if it has no jug? Paper towel/tea towel would be useful. Mrs. B. Wigan
A lovely set up for he business man/woman. Great location with all amenities close at hand, in a very peaceful environment. Room extremely comfortable and great breakfast. Thank you. Mr. G. Dorset.
Really nice. Especially nice not to have to make small talk about the traffic on the M25 when arriving late on Friday. The breakfast is a great idea and gives much more independence to guests i.e. no timing restraints. Jason.
Very clean and comfortable. Unlike most other b&b’s you have facilities for preparing supper which is handy for me being vegan. My only suggestion would be to offer some caffeine free herbal teas alongside tea and coffee such as peppermint tea. Thank you very much. Nikki. Maidenhead.
I thought it is an excellent set up, the only small thing was knowing if I was expected to wash up – in the end I decided the basin was inadequate and that I was probably was not – might help to make this clear either way. [Please leave it for me to do. Steve] All in all, Wonderful, Thank you Stephen. Reading.
We thought the design and fittings were great! My daughter who’s at Bristol Uni, really liked it and especially the really ‘cool’TV! V Comfortable bed. Some soap on the basin would be nice. [We provide hand soap and shower gel now. Steve] A bar stool by the breakfast bar would be easier that the lower chair. It took us a while to find the radiator valve as pillows were hiding it-but that’s probably us being silly! Security light nearest gate wasn’t working and it was very dark in the rain when we arrive. [Sorry about that. I’ve replaced the bulb and added three new movement operated lights so it’s quite bright now. Steve] Ian. Chilslehurst
Convenience 5/5 Location 4/5 Room 5/5 Breakfast 4/5 Price 5/5 We absolutely love the concept; Very modern and efficient. Would definitely recoomend to others. Thanks! Chris. Emmer Green.
All was as expected. Easy to book and access to room was straight forward. Very comfortable bed and facilities in the room were very good. Possibly some feet wiping matt outside bathroom? Overall very happy with our stay. Ian.
Very nice and comfortable stay. In fact so comfortable that I nearly overslept the check-out time! Thank you very much, will visit again! Taemi.
No T-towel. Love the round toilet! Beautifully decorated. V. quiet Details of local eating establishments? Nick. Rotorua. NZ
Steve, I loved the ingenuity of the radiator valve and upper door stay. Hangers; very welcome. Table; wobbled beautifully! Breakfast: Just right! (even though it sounds a bit like Goldilocks!) If you wanted to go “upper class”, you’d just need to add some cold meats, crispbreads and hard-boiled egg! One technical glitch;- the outside light by flicking on and off for no apparent reason. [Sorry about that, the sensor was faulty. Now fixed. Steve] I look forward to staying here again in November. Phillip.
* Smart, modern room with excellent facilities. * Stress free check-in and entry to the accommodation * Maybe a hard-copy of local amenities; shops, sight-seeing, etc. Would be helpful. * Would recommend and visit again! James. Nairn
Would like: reading light above bed, small foldable table and stools by the kettle for breakfast, floor spatula to dry floor tile post shower, some more tea bags too J. We enjoyed our stay. Nice comfy bed, lovely breakfast. Good clean accom offering privacy lacking in many B&Bs. Stephen. Wilmslow.
Very impressed. Accommodation looked clean, fresh and professional. The continental breakfast adds a personal touch with a wide selection of food and drink. I will most definitely recommend Ferndale mews and envisage it becoming a regular stop off for my friends and family while I’m at Uni. However I would suggest that you put some more photos of the accommodation on your website – really show all the aspects of a brilliant accommodation. Thomas. Edenbridge.
Great room and facilities, good choice for breakfast. Keep room clean and fresh as it is and will do well. Jim. Poole.
